An EORI number (Economic Operator Registration and Identification number) is a unique ID number given to businesses that import or export goods into or out of the European Union (EU).
This number would need to be quoted on a variety of official forms and correspondence, including custom declarations and clearances.
From 1 January 2021, businesses will need an EORI number that starts with GB to move goods between the UK and the EU.
So the EORI number may be necessary to send your samples to our laboratory located in Belgium.
In addition, BfB also has an EORI No. to ensure ease of exchange with our UK customers.
If you use a post or parcel company they’ll tell you if you need an EORI number.
You’ll need an EORI number from an EU country if your business will be making declarations or getting a customs decision in the EU. Get this from the customs authority in the EU country where you submit your first declaration or request your first decision.
Our team remains at your disposal.
